Walmart Canada Shopping Guide
Walmart was founded in the US in 1652 by Sam Walton. Walton was committed to offering his customers products with a great value, as well as great customer service. In 1984 Walmart expanded from the US into Canada by acquiring over 120 Woolco stores. While Walmart Canada was once only a grocery store, in 2006 they began expanding their stores into Supercenters. Walmart now boasts that they have over 300 Supercenters, and 400 stores throughout Canada.
Walmart Supercenters are a one-stop shop. You can shop their grocery section for fresh meats, deli, frozen foods, and dairy. They carry a variety of technologies like TV’s, tablets and computers. If you’re in a search of a new camera you can find both the device and a photo printer here. You’ll also have access to a range of clothing that includes men’s, women’s, children’s and babies. Walmart offers home goods as well including candles, cookware, and bedding. If you’re in search of toys or bicycles you can find them here as well. They also host a variety of sporting goods equipment. Walmart stores exclusively carry groceries and household supplies.
Walmart is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen. They strive to use sustainable resources to create and package their products. Walmart also wishes to ensure the ethical treatment of farm animals.
